Structural Area

The Structural Area is directed by the Engineer Néstor Guitelman, who graduated from the College of Engineering at the University of Buenos Aires (FIUBA) in 1975. He is a Consulting professor of Foundations in the Department of Constructions and Structures at the FIUBA. He has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in different institutions, most notably at the Argentine Engineering Center (CAI), the University of Santa Cruz de la Sierra (Bolivia), and the Association of Structural Engineers (AIE). He is the author of numerous publications edited by the FIUBA, the CAI, the AIE, and the SECYT-CONICET. He was the president of the Association of Structural Engineers from 2000 to 2002 and the vice-president of the Argentine Engineering Center from 2005 to 2010. In addition, he has been the director of the structural project team for more than 700 projects.

Civil Engineering Area

The Civil Engineering Area is directed by the Engineer Adolfo Guitelman, who graduated with honors from the College of Engineering at the University of Buenos Aires (FIUBA) in 1978. Since 2017, he is the Director of the Civil Engineering career, at Buenos Aires University. He is a professor of undergraduate and graduate courses in Hydraulic and Hydrological Construction and Highway Hydraulics at the FIUBA. He is currently the Vice President of the Argentine Engineering Center (CAI). He is also serving as the Secretary of the Argentine Chamber of Engineering Consultants. In addition, he is a Fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers and Diplomate Engineer of the American Academy of Water Resource Engineers. Incorporated in the National Academy of Geography in 2015. Director of the Graduate School of Hydraulics, at Buenos Aires University (2015). He has published and presented more than 40 papers in his field at the University of Buenos Aires, at conferences, and in specialized journals.
